Things Happening at CUA                                             

The university has several calendars that might be of interest to the Brookland Community.  (Below the calendars are links to various publications of the CUA Office of Public Affairs.)  The calendars include the following:

University Calendar
The University Calendar is Catholic University’s institutional calendar. It is intended to assist all members of the university community in planning and coordinating events of institution-wide importance. Enhancements to this calendar are being developed. Direct questions or comments to Mary Ellen Flaherty, University Registrar, (flahertm@cua.edu) or William Jonas, Director of the University Center and the Office of Student Programs and Events (jonas@cua.edu).

Calendar of Events
The Calendar of Events is a comprehensive listing of activities sponsored by Catholic University and its various schools and offices. These include most lectures, theatrical and musical performances and student-oriented events. Unless indicated, all events are open to the public. 

Academic Calendar
The Academic Calendar is the course registration and meeting schedule for a full academic year. It lists significant academic dates, including exam periods and deadlines for submitting grades, theses and dissertations. Commencement exercises, convocations and holy days are also part of the Academic Calendar.

Law School Academic Calendar
The Columbus School of Law Academic Calendar is the law school's course registration and meeting schedule for a full academic year. It lists significant academic dates, including exam periods and deadlines for submitting grades, directed research and seminar papers. Commencement exercises and holy days are also part of this calendar.

Drama Department - The Hartke Season calendar Found on the Drama Department's home page, this calendar covers the entire season for the current academic year, and includes links to information about obtaining tickets and brochures, directions and information and pictures from past performances. 

The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music - Calendar of musical events Part of the music school's website, this calendar lists all events in the music school's program for the current semester, and includes information about purchasing tickets (where required) and how to get other information about the events.

CUA Athletic Teams - Athletics Home Page has "Upcoming Events" As part of the Athletic Department web page, this calendar lists the date, time and location of all athletic events for the current season of the university's 21 NCAA varsity teams.

RECENT NEWS

About 30 CUA students recently spent the day cleaning Lemon G. Hine Junior Highschool in southeast in memory of Martin Luther King's Birthday.  Susan Pervi, vice president for student life, was quoted in a front-page Washington Times Article which can be retrieved by clicking on this link. 

March 12th 2007, The Catholic University of America breaks ground for new dorms.  Click Here
